在备考AEIS的过程中，词汇的积累是很重要的，但是很多考生在遇到意思相近的词的时候，往往分辨不清，今天AEIS考生服务中心就先来给大家辨析两个词：not a bit与not a little。
请看下面两个句子，not a bit与not a little同义吗?
a. After such a long walk in such hot weather he was not __________ tired.
b. We are not __________ tired. Of course we can go on with the work.
A. a bit, a little B. a little, a bit C. a bit, a bit D. a little, a little
此题应选B。关于这个问题考生要注意两点。如：
1. 在肯定句中，a bit 和 a little 有时可换用。如：
He is a bit [=a little] tired. 他有点累了。
It is a bit [=a little] hot. 有点热。
2. 但是在否定句中，两者的意思几乎相反。如：
not a bit 表示“一点也不”(=not at all)
not a little 表示“很”、“非常”(=very)
(1) a. The book is not a bit interesting. 这本书一 点也没有趣。
b. The book is not a little interesting. 这本书 很有趣。
(2) a. This kind of car is not a bit expensive. 这 种汽车一点也不贵。
b. This kind of car is not a little expensive. 这种汽车很贵。
(3) a. He was not a bit surprised when he heard the news. 他听到这个消息时，一点也不惊奇。
b. He was not a little surprised when he heard the news. 他听到这个消息时，十分惊奇。
